C1 argument: claims, concessions and conclusions
Build a coherent argument with controlled stance and grammatically explicit relationships.
The rule
Separate claim, evidence, concession and conclusion. Choose connectors and hedges that match the logical relationship and the strength of the evidence.
zwar …, jedoch … · sofern … · daraus folgt, dass … · könnte / dürfte
A grammatical argument distinguishes its claim, grounds, concession and conclusion; connector variety alone is not coherence.
Concede what a source genuinely supports, then identify the limitation. Keep attributed claims separate from your own inference.
Conditional conclusions must preserve their assumptions. Hedging should match the available evidence and remain consistent.
