Use sowohl … als auch, weder … noch, and related pairs.
The rule
Paired conjunctions connect matching grammatical structures. Keep both halves parallel and choose the pair for addition, exclusion, alternatives or concession.
sowohl … als auch · weder … noch · entweder … oder · nicht nur … sondern auch · zwar … aber
Connect the same grammatical category on both sides.
Use sowohl … als auch for addition and weder … noch for double negation.
Use entweder … oder for alternatives and nicht nur … sondern auch for emphatic addition.
